JTS brakes. Anyway to improve them?

Is there anything that could be done to improve braking efficiency on my 2013 JTS fitted with cantilevers. For the most part they cope ok but sometimes on a steep descent I find I am squeezing the levers pretty hard to slow right down. Part of the problem is that I have some painful arthritic joints in my wrist and fingers, particularly my left which controls the rear brake. I can squeeze the right lever harder but that results in the front squealing pretty loudly. Could I swap the blocks for a different compound, or what about some mini-V brakes, could I possibly fit something more efficient? Maybe I should have gone discs, but too late now.
Thanks

Hi, it's probably best to talk to your dealer to go over a specific solution. There are just too many x-factors in your situation to square away by text. The bike needs to be setup and tested face by you with the mechanic at hand to fine tune the brakes.
