Replacement rear axle in Unit 2-9 KK Disc Hub Options

Hi all

I've broken the rear axle on my 2008 Unit 2-9

Does anybody know if it is possible to get a replacement in the UK?

The bearings, rim, disc and spokes are all perfect it seems a shame to junk them for a complete new wheel, but it's looking like my only option at present.

I've got none of those hubs left here in Canada to turn into an organ donor. The hub is a King Kong KK 501- DHB and you can ask the bike shop to contact these folks, http://www.kingkonghubs.com/ and see if they have a supply in the UK.

It is an 8 year old hub so be ready for the worst. If that's the case then going around to the local shops and digging through their old hubs and wheels for a match is the last hope.
