Rear shock mounting options

Hello,

I've just bought myself a 2007 Dawg and I have noticed that there are two mounting holes for the rear shock. What is the difference between these two options is one better for a particular riding style?

Also, I am thinking of upgrading the rear shock in the hopefully not too distant future to a Fox Float RP23. What size shock will I need?

Thanks,
- Tim.

On the bikes with 2 shock positions, the front shock mount gives a straight rate (feels the same through the travel), and the rear gives a rising rate (feels stiffer at the end of the travel).

There's no best spot, you need to try both and see which you like best.

For the shock size you need one with a 200mm eye to eye and 51mm stroke.
