Am I correct in thinking that the 09 Dawg takes a 7.875x2" shock? Just ordered a new frame and wanting to swap the stock RP2 for a DHX coil shock when funds allow. What would be the effect of fitting a 2.25 stroke shock or is that not advisable (7.875x2.25 seems a little easier to source)?

Cheers!

The problem with a longer shock stroke is that the leverage ratio of the bike move the wheel a lot further. You get the wheel or frame parts hitting the seat tube. Stick with 2".
